The Trade in Services Agreement (TiSA) negotiations aim to reach a plurilateral agreement among those WTO members willing to open markets further on services ranging from financial services and e-commerce to maritime transport. The 23 WTO members, including the EU, participate in the negotiations. These countries together account for 70% of world trade in services.

Field work on the Trade Sustainability Impact Assessment (SIA) on the TiSA began in January 2014 and the inception report was published in July 2014. The consultants carrying out this study are the consortium ECORYS/CEPR. After a period mainly dedicated to the elaboration of the economic methodology of the study, the draft interim report is now ready and available through our TiSA page.

The purpose of this meeting is therefore to present and discuss with civil society the draft interim technical report of the study with a view to the elaboration of the draft final technical report.
