Detailed Agenda of the meeting* External transparency Is the WTO transparent enough? What is being done to assure transparency. What could be done to ameliorate the transparency. What is the limit of transparency? A role (and which one) for the Parliaments? Should the Parliaments be involved in the affairs of the WTO? What role? Consultative or part of the decision making? What could be the competencies and composition of a WTO Parliamentary Assembly? The perspective of the reform What has already been achieved and what can be obtained in the near future What can be obtained in the long term. The formation of the EC Trade policy Is it transparent enough? If not, where the problem lies? At the Community level? At national level? If not, how to make it more transparent. * This agenda is proposed by the European Commission following the general discussion held during the first meeting of the issue group. Any point can be added to this agenda on request by the participants. Please contact Mr. Antonio Parenti (Antonio.Parenti@cec.eu.int) by no later than 18 June if you wish to do so. Participants are welcomed to make a general presentation on the points on the agenda. Those who wish to do so should inform Mr. Parenti by e-mail by 18 June latest.
