The European Commission, Directorate-Generals for Trade and Health and Consumers, together with the Royal Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (RSPCA), Eurogroup for Animals, Compassion In World Farming and the World Society for the Protection of Animals (WSPA) organise a Conference on Global Trade and Farm Animal Welfare on 20-21 January 2009, in the premises of the European Commission in Brussels.

By bringing in speakers from different constituencies and countries, the conference aims to develop a broad analysis of challenges and opportunities in relation to trade in the development of farm animal welfare.

Around 400 seats will be available, assigned on a first-come first-served basis. Active and passive interpretation will be provided in English, French, German, Spanish and Portuguese.

You can register for this conference on www.animalwelfareandtrade.com/. Registrations will only be accepted via this website, where you will find all relevant information on the conference.
