The purpose of the meeting is to provide an opportunity for civil society organisations to share their views as well as engage in a discussion on the progress made within the renewed Market Access Strategy and its implementation. Subjects for discussion include the process of defining key market access barriers for main trading partners, the monitoring of trade restrictive measures in the context of the economic crisis and the role of the Market Access Partnership in helping SMEs reap the benefits of international trade. The meeting will also provide an overview of the revamped Export Helpdesk as a tool to provide better access for developing countries to the European market.
