The Trade Sustainability Impact Assessment (SIA) in support of negotiations with China was launched in February 2016. The consultants carrying out the SIA are Ecorys.

The SIA interim report presents the preliminary findings of the analysis of the economic, social, human rights and environmental impacts of the negotiations, as well as the preliminary in-depth studies for three of the selected sectors (transport equipment, mining and energy extraction and chemicals).

The purpose of this meeting is to discuss with civil society the draft interim report . The interim report will then be finalised by the consultant, taking stakeholders' contributions into account.
