The EU and Mexico are currently negotiating the modernization of the Global EU-Mexico Agreement which includes a trade pillar. The negotiation started in June 2016, and the sixth round was held in Mexico during the last week of November 2017.

In line with its practice, the Commission hired a consultant for carrying out a Sustainability Impact Assessment of the trade part to provide inputs to the EU negotiators. LSE Enterprise has been selected for this study.

The purpose of this meeting is to present and discuss with civil society the draft inception report of the study.

1. Presentation of the Draft Inception Report for the SIA in support of the EU's negotiations with Mexico by LSE.
2. Open discussion with stakeholders.

We would be grateful if participants could arrive 30 minutes in advance. Please bring with you the confirmation emails received after registration and filling out the security clearance form for the meeting and an ID card. These will be requested by the security staff at the entrance of the Borschette Centre. You will receive an identification badge at the entrance of the meeting room.
