The EU has launched negotiations on free trade agreements with, respectively, Indonesia, Malaysia and the Philippines. In line with its practice, the Commission has tasked a consultant to carry out a Sustainability Impact Assessment (SIA) for each of these negotiations, in order to develop a robust analysis of their potential economic, social, human rights and environmental impacts and provide inputs to the negotiators. There will be three independent SIAs, but they are all managed under a single contract by the same consultant, Development Solutions. The state of play of the EU's trade and investment negotiations, including with Indonesia, Malaysia and the Philippines can be found here.

The purpose of this meeting is to present and discuss with civil society the three draft inception reports in question. The draft reports will be published prior to the meeting and notification of that will be send out.
