Meetings
Meetings allow for open dialogue between civil society organisations and the Commission services. In Civil Society Dialogue meetings, we discuss the latest trade policy initiatives and update on bilateral and multilateral trade negotiations. Questions relating to trade and other policy issues, such as trade and development, trade and climate change etc, are also often discussed. On the Civil Society meetings webpage, you can learn more about the different meetings organised, consult the list of future meetings and register to attend.
Travel expenses
The European Commission currently makes available a limited budget to cover for travel expenses so as to allow civil society organisations from all over the EU to participate in our Civil Society Dialogue meetings. If you are based outside Brussels, you can ask to have your travel costs covered. On the travel expenses webpage, you can learn more about how to benefit from travel reimbursement. Payment of travel arrangements is limited to economy class flights or first class train journeys. Only the main part of the journey is covered - no taxi or additional fares - and we do not pay subsistence or hotel fees.
