Industry Consultation on Trade negotiations with Morocco

  • Policy field: Trade
  • Target group: Industry
  • Closing Date: Completed - 15/03/2013

Objective of the consultation

On 14 December 2011 the European Commission received the endorsement from the Council to open negotiations for a Deep and Comprehensive Free Trade Area (DCFTA) with Morocco. During 2012, the European Commission and Morocco conducted a preparatory process for these negotiations. Negotiations will officially be launched by Commissioner De Gucht and his Moroccan counterpart on 27 February 2013.

This questionnaire has been prepared in order to provide the Commission with information to assist it in establishing priorities and taking decisions throughout the negotiating process. Your reply to this questionnaire is important in this process and we thank you in advance for your contribution.

The Commission, subject to the application of the EU's rules on access to documents (Regulation No 1049/2001), will treat the information that you provide as confidential. EU rules on access to documents allow the Commission to withhold access to a document where disclosure would undermine the commercial interests of a natural or legal person or harm the EU'srelations with third countries, unless there is an overriding public interest in disclosure.

You can read the full introduction and the objectives of this questionnaire here.
