Doing Business with Europe: how your business can benefit from the Cariforum-EU EPA - A seminar for the Caribbean business community

This page describes past events and is no longer updated.

Over 120 Caribbean businesspeople gathered to explore the potential benefits of the Cariforum-EU Economic Partnership Agreement (EPA) during a two day seminar held on 4 and 5 April 2011, in Port of Spain (Trinidad and Tobago).

DG Trade and the EU's Delegation in Trinidad and Tobago (T&T) hosted a two-day seminar in April for over 120 businesspeople from the 15 Cariforum states.

Together they looked at the agreement's contents and explored how to put the EPA to work for their businesses - increasing exports, attracting more outside investment, and thereby driving growth and jobs in the Caribbean.

The seminar was the first such region-wide event targeting businesspeople directly. Participants and speakers included CEOs and senior figures from well-established Caribbean companies, as well as from EU Member States' regions, countries and territories in the Caribbean.
