On 14-15 November 2012 the European Commission organised a seminar in Gaborone, Botswana, on the EU’s Economic Partnership Agreement.

The seminar allowed more than 90 representatives from civil society organisations, the business sector, customs authorities and government organisations in Botswana, Angola, Lesotho, Mozambique, Namibia, South Africa, Swaziland to meet with EU officials, to discuss all aspects of the Economic Partnership Agreement – currently being negotiated with the EU.

The aim of the seminar was to contribute to the success of the on-going negotiations for an Economic Partnership Agreement with the Southern African Development Community (SADC).
