Speech: Future EU Trade Policy: Achieving Europe’s Strategic Goals

Cecilia Malmström, Member of the European Commission responsible for Trade, is today in Washington DC for talks on the Transatlantic Trade and Investment Partnership. She is meeting US decision makers in the administration and Congress, including her counterpart Ambassador Michael Froman, the US Trade Representative. She is also meeting various stakeholders and, in that context, gave a speech at the Centre for Strategic and International Studies on the broad objectives of EU trade policy.
