Malmström in Kyiv for 2nd Informal Ministerial with Georgia, Moldova and Ukraine

Commissioner for Trade Cecilia Malmström is in Kyiv today for the 2nd informal Ministerial Meeting of the EU’s Deep and Comprehensive Free Trade Areas (DCFTAs) to meet her counterparts from Georgia, Moldova and Ukraine.

Since 2015, the countries’ trade with the EU has grown strongly: 7.2% (Georgia), 40.9% (Moldova) and 49.3% (Ukraine). The number of their firms trading with the EU has also risen, growing by 35% (Georgia), 40% (Moldova) and 26% (Ukraine).

Commissioner Malmström said the EU would continue to help the three countries carry out reforms set out in their Association Agreements with the EU.
