"EU Trade Commissioner Karel De Gucht welcomed the opportunity to discuss and update French Commerce Minister Nicole Bricq on EU trade policy in general and on the state of play of on-going free trade agreement discussions. Commissioner De Gucht informed Minister Bricq that the analysis of the French government request to initiate the prior surveillance mechanism for South Korean car imports in respect of the EU-South Korea trade agreement is on-going.", stated EU Trade Spokesman John Clancy.
