The EU is currently negotiating a trade agreement with the four founding members of Mercosur (Argentina, Brazil, Paraguay, and Uruguay) as part of the overall negotiation for a bi-regional Association Agreement. In May 2016, the EU and Mercosur exchanged tariff offers for the first time since the re-launch of negotiations in May 2010. Since the exchange of offers, three negotiation rounds have taken place. Further negotiation rounds are scheduled for October, November and December. The consultants carrying out this study are from LSE Enterprise Limited.
