The EU-Colombia/Ecuador/Peru Trade Agreement has been applied with Colombia and Peru since 2013 and with Ecuador since 2017. This comprehensive and ambitious Trade Agreement covers elimination of tariffs on trade in goods, a reduction of non-tariff barriers to trade in goods, services and investment (market access), and provisions on competition, government procurement, protection of intellectual property rights, transparency in regulation, while integrating the objective of sustainable development in all those areas.

The European Commission’s Directorate-General for Trade awarded a contract for an “Ex-post evaluation of the implementation of the EU-Colombia/Ecuador/Peru Trade Agreement” to BKP Economic Advisors GmbH (BKP). The Interim Report of the Study provides evidence on the bilateral trade relationships and preliminary findings on the implementation and effects of the Agreement.

The purpose of this meeting is to present to the EU Civil Society Organisations the current state of evaluation findings as presented in the interim report, exchange views on it and collect feedback from civil society.

The draft report will be published on this page two weeks ahead of the Civil Society Dialogue. Registered participants will be informed of the publication
